2008-2009:
REDWORK SAMPLER

Our next block of the month program will begin October 1st, 2008 and features an exciting design, exclusively available from Seminole Sampler. Libbie has an extensive collection of historical redwork patterns -- she has collected a sampling of them together to make this quilt. Consisting of 49 never-before-published redwork blocks (8” 
square), alternating with red and white double-nine-patch blocks, and bordered by four different floral vining designs, this quilt finishes to a lovely queen bed size. Each month’s set of patterns will be four (or five) blocks to embroider; every three months you will receive one of the borders in addition. Remember, blue and green (even purple!) work were also popular -- you don’t have to love red and white to make these beauties! Instruction will be available for the simple embroidery stitches required to make your blocks.

Block of the Month Rules

1. Block of the Month sign up begins October 1 and will be ongoing during the year through September 2009.
2. The price of each  month’s patterns is $3.50. No discounts apply. 
   Each set of patterns will be available from the first to the last day of each calendar month, excluding days when the shop is closed.
3. Patterns can only be purchased in person; they cannot be picked up by friends, husbands or family and cannot be mailed.
4. Patterns must be purchased in consecutive order. If a registrant misses a month(s) patterns, previous month(s) pattern(s) must be purchased before succeeding patterns can be purchased. Patterns purchased after the calendar month of their availability will be $4.50 each.

We really hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to make your own special arrangement of underwater features! There will be an exhibit at year’s end (more details about this in the future).
